Solfa Carlile is a young Composer/Musician from Ireland. She has composed for a range of genres, including Musical Theatre, Contemporary Choral music, and large-scale orchestral pieces. Her song 'There Comes A Rainbow' (with lyrics by Orison Carlile) won first prize at the 2003 International Song Contest for Peace. In 2003 she also won the award for 'Best Original Composition' at the Ringaskiddy Youth Festival, and was awarded the IMRO International Music Bursary for Composers in 2004. She is also an accomplished flautist and piano accompanist, and has experience in solo as well as group performance. In 2006 she was appointed the 'Composer in residence' for LISO (The London Irish Symphony Orchestra). She is currently living in West London.
